RENGO, which tackles with important issues such as the Spring Struggle for a better life, the Demand on Policy and Structure and the 18th Upper House election, held the 27th Central Committee in Hiroshima in 9 and 10 June, 1998. At the opening session, Mr. Washio, President of RENGO, appealed the importance of the coming Upper House election passionately. The general action report as well as "the Study Report on the New System for a Labor Dispute Management", "the Final Report on the Spring Struggle for a Better Life", "the Mid-term Settlement and Audit Report for Final Account in 1998" and "the General Vision for Living" were deliberated and adopted. With the attendance of 10 candidates for the proportional representation for the election form the RENGO organization, the Rally for the Ultimate Victory in the 18th Upper House election took place in 9 June. The Central Committee, prepared with every confidence of victory in the election, closed by the Mr. Washio's lead in giving three cheers. |
