Japanese Government announced on 25 February 1998 that it would resume a loan to the Military regime of Burma, in particular to the safety measures for the Rangoon International Airport. In response to this announcement, Rengo's General Secretary Mr. Sasamori made a statement on 4 March that this government's statement disregarded international public opinion and would incur distrust of the international society He urged the government to keep the suspension of the aids to Burma. |
