Seeking to decrease
differentials in labor conditions for workers of small to mid-sized
businesses and part-time workers, RENGO organized its "2000 Spring
Struggle/Correcting Differentials Forum" on February 8 at Ikenohata
Bunka Center in Tokyo. Approximately 220 participants gathered to report
on what was being done to correct differentials as well as their own
case studies.
RENGO held its "Symposium on Judicial Reform"
on January 27, with 170 people attending from affiliates, local RENGO
and other organizations. It was held to promote activities that respond
to the government's drive for judicial reform.
