On September 13 at the 27th Central Executive Committee Meeting, RENGO endorsed a $10,000 contribution to the AFL-CIO as a token of sympathy from its International Solidarity Fund. This money will support AFL-CIO's activities to help victims of multiple terrorist attacks in the US. The contribution was sent to the United States by 26. A letter from AFL-CIO President John J. Sweeny arrived expressing his gratitude for RENGO's support saying "American workers will never forget your support and solidarity."
