On March 14, at the 19th Central Executive Committee Meeting, RENGO
endorsed proceeding with the approval of ZENKOKU UNION (Zenkoku Community Union
Association) as a RENGO affiliate. On November 3rd last year, eight unions held
a general meeting in order to organize the association. During the general meeting
it was decided to affiliate the organization with RENGO and an entry registration
to become an affiliated organization was filed on November 5. After the Central
Executive Committee endorses this, RENGO is scheduled to approve ZENKOKU UNION's
entry into RENGO at the 40th Central Committee (scheduled on June 26) according
to Chapter 7 of the RENGO bylaws, Articles 15 and 16.
