| Be a ÀRENGO” That Workers Trust FY2004-5 Action Policy Decided (10 oct 2003) |

RENGO decided its action policies for the coming two years at its 8th Biennial Convention held from October 2 to 3 under the slogan ÀUnions will Change, Unions Will Change Society--For a Safe and Fair Society--.”
The action policies consist of a Àgeneral overview” and six Àdetailed policies.” The policies established a goal that RENGO will work on a Àresolution of employment issues” and the Àre-establishment of a social security system” with all its power in order to create a society where people can live without fear, so that the Àlabor-based welfare society” that RENGO has been working for can be realized. Further, every organization on every level will make efforts to strengthen and expand themselves through the unionization of part-time and other workers in order to stop any major drop-offs in the number of union members and become the sort of organization that workers can trust. |
