Participants representing various countries at a climate change meeting of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) held in Bangkok on 6 April 2011 as well as the staff members of the ILO’s Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific sent solidarity messages to RENGO union members for their rescue efforts being carried out in the disaster-stricken areas.
A RENGO flag filled with the warm messages was brought back to Tokyo, and then was sent to the afflicted areas to be handed over to the RENGO Locals concerned. The flag will be relayed to each afflicted prefecture, encouraging the disaster victims and the union members engaging in rescue operations.
Thank you again for your solidarity and support.
