Japan MacDonald Workers’ Union Executives with President Takagi
On May 29th, RENGO called on approximately 4,000 McDonald’s Japan restaurants (app. 130,000 workers) nationwide from Hokkaido to Okinawa to participate in the union. The McDonald’s Japan Union (tentative) was founded with the goal of helping the development of the company in Japan and improving the working conditions of its workers here. The union is calling on workers to join the union regardless of their job type, whether they are part-time or temporary workers. <br>
That morning, the McDonald’s Japan Union informed McDonald’s Japan of the establishment of the union and is proposing collective bargaining with the main company.
