Special Lecture by ICFTU President Shamenda

On June 15, ICFTU President Shamenda delivered a special lecture at RENGO HQs in Tokyo. In his lecture, titled "the New Challenge of International Trade Union Movement", the President pointed out overcoming the negative dimension of globalization as the top priority issue for the trade union movement in the world, and called for a intensified solidarity with better communication inside and for a stronger appeals towards the union members as well as the community in general. He also paid a visit to Miyazaki, where the 18th ICFTU World Congress will be held on December 5-10 this year.
