2004 Spring Struggle Improve Bottom Line Labor Conditions

Small-and-Medium-sized Unions Must Make Demands on Wages

24 February 2004
The Spring Struggle this year has set a benchmark of ¥5,200 for unions that find it hard to calculate the amount of money necessary to maintain their wage curves, while establishing the slogan; "Strengthen Joint Struggle among Small-and-Medium-sized unions, especially in local cities" Let us make sure that they conduct their wage demands, raise the bottom line for working conditions, improve living standards and go on to correct differentials. Let industrial federations and local RENGOs put all their might into creating an environment where demands can be decided and labor-management negotiations for small-and-medium-sized unions can be conducted.
